This cellar-worthy dark ale was first released during the holidays in 1954 under the name 'Blue Cap.' Its success was due to its reputation as a strong ale of the highest quality. Pours brown with mocha, spice, brown sugar, and fig notes. The palate, raisin, cinnamon, and plum. Full-bodied and malty with a long finish.
