Description

Lazio, located on central Italy's west coast, is the 'knee' of Italy's 'boot.' It's where you'll find Rome, and also where you'll find the Cesanese ('chae-sah-NAE-say') grape, which some believe is the same variety enjoyed by the ancient Romans. This wine is soft and fruity, with raspberry, currants, violets and light vanilla notes. Pair with grilled game or meaty pastas. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2016)
