Ruffino Orvieto Classico

Description

Ruffino has been producing Orvieto Classico for over sixty years. This distinctive wine blends Trebbiano Toscano, Grechetto and a small percentage of other varietals. The palate is clean and fresh, highlighted by notes of citrus, yellow berries, and a slight hint of spice. Orvieto Classico would pair well with grilled fish.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw colour; aromas of citrus and green apple fruit, with fragrant sweet floral and mandarin notes; dry, light-bodied, smooth, clean and crisp palate, shows flavours of apple, citrus and pear, with hints of almond and light spice on the finish.

Serving Suggestion

Serve chilled as an aperitif or with antipasti, mild cheese, light fish dishes, deep fried calamari, grilled vegetables and salumi.
